The Tranquillity High School Tiger Band will present their annual winter concert entitled "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Thursday, Dec. 6 at 7p.m. in the school cafeteria. Prior to the concert, the band and senior class will hold a Chile Verde dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Both groups are raising funds for future trips. Tickets can be purchased from senior class and band members. "Walk-in dinners will also be available for dine in or take out as well.

The winter program is a one time change from the traditional holiday format which will resume again next year. Band Director Brad Riley has always wanted to do a concert to celebrate the life of Walt Disney and the company he created. "This program has been in the back of my mind for quite sometime and I’m really looking forward to seeing it happen with this group of kids. Many of us grew up with this great music and it will be a tribute everyone will be sure to remember." Riley also added that a few students will be dressed as Disney characters to bring out the theme further. Of course, there will also be a few comedic capers included.

The concert will include hits from "Beauty and the Beast," Aladdin," Bach’s "Toccata and Fugue" from Fantasia, "It’s a Small World," Pirates of the Caribbean," a medley of Disney tunes which includes the Mickey Mouse March, Supervalifragilisticexpealidocious" and many others. In addition, there will be a slide show to match the narration and music.
